Josh and Kaylene's Big Day

We were glad to be able to join everyone on the day to celebrate this great event. They looked spectacular and it was a very relaxed and enjoyable time. Scott was glad to participate in the ceremony by praying for Josh and Kaylene, as were many of their other friends with their musical skills.

We stayed the night in Camden at a hotel after Jen and Phil's suggestion. They had a room near us and we enjoyed the time catching up with them the next day as well at the local McCafe.

Geert Goes Flying

Geert and Wendy paid us a visit for the country music festival. While he was up here, Geert decided to go for a fly with Scott. He handled the aircraft better than some of Scott's students with some very nice looking aerobatics including a loop and roll. He even had a go at landing.

Tamara's 24th Birthday

Yes, it is true, Tamara is getting older much to her disgust! As such we celebrated her 24th birthday with some close friends in Tamworth.

New Years Eve 2006

This year we celebrated New Years Eve in Melbourne. We made our way into the city for dinner at a Thai restaurant and then to the Yarra river for the fireworks. It was an enjoyable night but the crowd was enormous. It took us over an hour just to get back over the Swanston Street bridge and to our car. We ended up back home just after 2am.

Scott and Bailey

Scott was really looking forward to catching up with Bailey while he was in Melbourne.

Belated Christmas in Melbourne

After arriving in Melbourne we all gave out our presents. It was a quiet Christmas for Mum and Dad this year as we spent Christmas in Sydney and Deb & Ian spent Christmas in Thailand with his parents. Luckily technology allows us to keep in touch and we were able to Skype each other on Christmas day; although we did have some trouble getting it to work. While we were in Melbourne we were able to catch up with some old friends and just spend some time relaxing with family which was very nice.

Trip To Melbourne

After Christmas in Sydney, we hopped back in the car for the long trek to Melbourne. Rachelle was attending a conference in Melbourne and so hitched a ride with us as well.

Christmas with the Woldhuis'

Christmas this year was in Sydney with Tamara's family. After church, we started to open presents - we were all very spoilt. We now have a webcam and were able to talk (and see) with Mum and Dad in Melbourne and Deb and Ian in Thailand (they were visiting Ian's parents for christmas). We all had a big lunch and then played some games in the afternoon.

Gingerbread Houses

Tamara decided it would be fun to try and make some gingerbread houses for some of the family. They proved to be quite a challenge and even required some work from the resident handyman. But that wasn't the difficult part; they still had to be transported to Sydney and Melbourne. After some very smooth driving they made it to Sydney with only minor damage - let's hope the last ones make it to Melbourne.

Our Christmas Tree

Seeing as though this is our first christmas as a married couple, we needed to get a new christmas tree. Previously, Scott had a 'batchelor' tree (about 30cms tall with no ornaments) so we are both happy with the new tree we have.
